our fellow poster, and long time family friend, cold creek swimmer called my wife and i today to let us know that he had lost his father in death yesterday.

our thoughts and prayers go out to you dear friend.

i pray that the god we love so much may give your family strength to get through the next few days.

Share your crazy jw divorce behavior stories

so after marrying a good jw girl at 18 who was an elders daughter (married at 18 like most jw kids).

she was leaving for weeks (6-8) at a time to "visit" her parents in the same state(3 hours away).

i finally had enough of it and told her it was over.

as a teenager and in my early twenties i was so upset that i couldn't find a 'brother' to marry. i thought that would have fixed all my problems with the witnessess. but it would probably only have created more. i am so sorry about the dog being put to sleep. what a horrible person, to do that to you and the dog. it is so sad that someone could be so cruel. ~v~

she'll be confined to home for the duration of her sentence.

where we live is a very *new agey*, *earthy* area.

when i was a witness i never thought twice about my astrological sign or how it relates to anyone else.

here, people are always asking what my sign is and i've really been entertained by how i see patterns with people in my life and how i've noticed i'm actually attracted to certain *signs* .

Faders: Would you prefer attention from the elders or not?

this question may produce some flaming, but so be it.

i've noticed many are freaked out, annoyed, worried, or simply felt harrassed when faced with the prospect of a visit from the elders when trying to fade.

others, or at times the same ones, complain that they recieved no inquiry from them at all or very little.

there was one elder who would stop by from time to time. i said that i wasn't sinning. i think that they think if you're inactive it is because you are sinning. he wanted me to come back to meetings. i said what i have always said' i have doubts that it is the truth'. they don't know how to handle that statement. they don't understand it. if they came nowthe first thing i would think is 'what do they have on me'.

ive been lurking round this board for a couple months now.

all the experiences ive read have been so eye opening for me.

i thought i was the only one with doubts gnawing at the back of my mind; its so nice to know im not alone.

we could be twins. it was so lonely during my teen years. i went out in service all the time. they complained that i did not answer at meeting and i wouldn't join the school on thursday nights. i had no friends, i was very shy. i had no friends in the 'truth' and no friends in the 'world'. i became inactive by 21 years old.
